Well actually it worked a few times last night, now it is back to giving the error and not creating the account.. From what I just posted on pastebin the password is getting corrupt on creation and that is causing the issues... I am going to try having it set up via SSH and if that works, I am going to use it that way if I go this route..

Sorry to keep spewing here. It's definitely the password getting corrupt. I just changed the password to a lower case password and it accepted hte user and sent it to the correct menu. Still can't figure out why it is not accepting lower case handles though, but that will be the next fight I play with... Jeez...

Welp I am learning... ChatGPT is my friend.. LOL The username will be in caps according to ChatGPT because of Linux, it only transfers in caps, if I were using Windows it would transfer in lower case. The Password though is the weird thing. I am assuming that because it is encoded that that has to be the reason I am getting the corruption in the log file. If I update the password to a lowercase password, I can login with no issues and go to the correct menu. Since I can't view how the password is saved I am just assuming it is corrupt.

I am not so sure this is all worth it at this point.. The reason I started this trek was because I am trying to do away with all of my Windows machines, and moving my Door Server over to Mystic in Linux with DOSEmu sounded like a good thing at the time, because Mystic for me is much more configurable and I can do things with Mystic that I find much more difficult on other BBS programs. Now this trek might not make a lot of sense with all of these issues.. My Door Server runs on Synchronet with WIndows 10 32bit. It works, and works well. I am starting to believe this set up is not ready for prime time. I am going to try setting it up on Mystic A49 to see if that corrects any of these issues. If it does, maybe I will continue this trek. If not I will think it over..
